Helloooo! My name is Nancy but saying fa-la-na-nancy is more fun so I’ll use that for my art stuff! (It goes like this: fa-la-na-nan-see). 

I’m just a girl who likes to try new things and see where it takes me. Ever since I was a kid, I was always interested in art –– really, anything creative. When I was younger, I would be found in a room with a notebook –– drawing/doodling or writing. (Or most of times, I’m just a little lost in a daydream.)

I’m not too sure where this blog is going to take me but I know I want to use it to share my work, my progress, and my growth. I like to use this as a way to look back to see how much I have changed over the years. So, are you ready to follow this journey with me?

BUT –– before we start, I want to share some facts about me so you can get to know me better:

1. I have a very short attention span. I get distracted/bored/impatient easily which is probably why I have trouble sticking to a project/activity. Also, it explains why I get interested in so many topics and projects and constantly starting and trying new things.
2. One of the reasons why I started getting interested in art was that I wanted to be a fashion designer like Raven from “That’s so Raven”. (For some reason, I really liked stripes and layering.)
3. What really started to spark my interest in drawing was in 5th grade, I started to take more advanced art class and learned how to shade my drawings. (Yassss, I can now add value to my drawings). Also learned how to do many types of art like block printing.
4. When I was in Kindergarten, I tried to make my own stickers using printer paper and tape. I had one sheet of paper for the sticker design. I cut the design out and taped it to a clean sheet of paper. And bam, stickers.
5. I like the idea of speaking multiple of languages but I have trouble learning them (mainly with the pronunciation).
6. I like wandering around the city by myself. It helps me clear my mind and get ideas.
7. Most of my money gets wasted on food or stationery. (I have a huge problem).
8. I like trying new things because it takes me out of my comfort zone.
9. I’m also extremely lazy. Like, if I could lay around all day watching videos, I would.
10. I’m a procrastinator. Like so bad. (Also why many of stuff are never finished)

Hope those facts were interestingggg! (You can probably tell that I like to add extra letters at the end of some words to drag it out. It’s funnn!)
